The nature of its name is a nod to the magnificent St. James Church, whose back is seen at the end of Mayor Street. By definition, a forecourt is a social exchange space at the front of a church. An important meeting place, at the time, as are today the bars and cafes.
Some antique elements, mismatched tables and chairs compete for the spotlight with custom furniture pieces. The decor is complemented by a variety of dangling plants that add life and sweetness to the premises while also fulfilling an acoustic function.
